Tablelight
Campaign Companion
Gather round the light. Tablelight brings shared dice, living scenes and a chronicle of every session to your table — and then gets out of the way, so everyone stays in the story.
Coming soon to iPhone and iPad.
Story first
Not a virtual tabletop. No battle maps or tokens to push around — just atmosphere, dice and characters, so faces stay up and the story keeps moving.
One table, every screen
The DM hosts, players join from their own phones. Every roll lands the same way on every screen, and the iPad in the middle shows the whole table.
Every session remembered
Scenes, natural 20s, handouts and the moments you keep are written into your campaign's chronicle — ready for "Previously, on…" next time.
At the table
Set the scene. Then let it breathe.
The DM picks where the story is, and every device at the table follows — sound, weather, light and the very floor the dice land on.
- Living scenesTavern, dungeon, forest, town street, road and more — each with its own ambience, its own surface and its own feel when the dice hit it.
- Weather and time of dayRain, snow, wind and storms that settle on the scene, muffled when you're indoors. Night falls when you say so.
- Scene changes with a title cardMove the party and everyone sees the new place named, while the soundscape crossfades around them.
- Storyteller modeLay your phone face down to narrate: the ambience swells, then eases back under your voice as you speak.
- Secret notesSlip a private message to one player — a vision, a suspicion, a whisper only they can hear.
- Handouts with keepsakesPass the letter or the map across the table, and keep a photo of it in the campaign's chronicle.
The dice
Real dice feel, shared by everyone.
Shake your phone and hear them rattle in your hand, or flick them across the screen. Physics does the rest.
- Shake, flick or tapDice tumble with real 3D physics, and every device replays exactly the same throw.
- Your dice, your lookAny colour, with plastic, glass, gem and carved bone finishes. Numbers always face the player who rolled.
- Moments that landA natural 20 gets its due — on the right die, even when there's more than one.
- The table displayPut an iPad in the middle: everyone's dice on one shared tray, character cards with portraits, and the room's sound.
- CharactersName, portrait and the stats that matter, shown on the table display.
- Your map, if you use oneShare a link from Owlbear Rodeo, Dungeon Scrawl, Inkarnate or your virtual tabletop, and anyone can switch to it.
"That was amazing — did anyone get that?"
Now someone did.
The chronicle
Your campaign, written as you play.
Tablelight quietly keeps a record of each session, so the story outlives the evening.
- Previously, on…Open a returning campaign with a recap of last time: where you were, what you found, what went wrong.
- Keep that momentWhen the DM turns it on, anyone at the table can save the last few minutes of the room — the speech, the plan, the laughter — with a transcript written on the device.
- The session scribeOn devices with Apple Intelligence, a chapter of the night's story, drafted on-device for the DM to edit and keep.
- Saved campaignsReopen your game with its players, characters, scene and history, exactly where you left off.
